Based on Jeff Lindsay’s novel ‘Darkly Dreaming Dexter’, 'Dexter' is the story of Dexter Morgan, who was orphaned at the age of four and subsequently adopted by Miami police officer Harry Morgan and his wife Doris. Harry recognized and understood Dexter’s homicidal tendencies early in his life and taught him to channel his fascination for blood in the right direction by creating a code called ‘The Code of Harry’.
According to this code, Dexter must only kill those wrongdoers who have escaped their rightful punishment. An inspiring brother, a good boyfriend and an admired member of the police force are all a part of Dexter Morgan’s disguise. Walking the fine line between his dual identities, Dexter tries to appear as socially responsible human being while maintaining his second identity as a serial killer.
